Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

These regulations scrap earlier wartime rules that controlled building activities.

What it does

Completely removes the National Security (Building Control) Regulations made in 1941 (which managed construction and building materials during World War II)
Also removes regulation 31 from the National Security (Supplementary) Regulations

Why it matters During WWII, the government strictly controlled building work to save materials and labour for the war effort. This 1942 instrument effectively ends that specific regulatory scheme, likely because the emergency controls were no longer necessary or had been replaced by other measures.

Who it affects Anyone involved in construction—builders, architects, and property owners—who had to comply with the earlier 1941 building restrictions would no longer be bound by those specific rules once this repeal took effect.
