127 Expiry of notice (1) A notice to quit given by a landlord and a notice of intention to quit given by a tenant may expire at any time specified in the notice if the period of notice required by this Division is given, despite the fact that the expiry of the period of the notice does not coincide with a day before a rent day or a day before the last day of the tenancy. (2) A notice of intention to quit given by a tenant is to be for: (a) the period as agreed between the parties to the lease; or (b) if no agreement is reached under paragraph (a): (i) if the lease is for a fixed term – the unexpired duration of the term; or (ii) in any other case – 14 days.
