54 Establishment of volunteer bushfire brigades (1) The Minister may, by Gazette notice, establish a volunteer bushfire brigade, with the name specified in the notice, for an area within a fire protection zone. (2) A notice under subsection (1) must: (a) specify the area for which the brigade is established; and (b) appoint a person to be the first captain of the brigade.
