38 Acting appointments (1) The Minister may, in writing, appoint a person to act as a member of a regional committee: (a) during a vacancy in the office of a member; or (b) during any period, or during all periods, when a member is absent or unable to act. Part 2 Administration Division 5 Regional bushfires committees Bushfires Management Act 2016 14 (2) A person acting in the office of member: (a) has, and may exercise, all the powers of the member for whom the person is acting; and (b) may perform any of the functions of that member.
