81 Depth of burial Human remains that are buried in the ground must be: (a) completely covered by soil that is at least 1 m deep at its shallowest point; or (b) completely covered by: (i) a layer of stone, concrete or similar material impervious to water, which is at least 50 mm thick and placed directly over the remains; and (ii) soil that is at least 500 mm deep at its shallowest point.
