act

Plain English Summary

2/10 complexity

This Act authorises a levy tied to certain building‑services authorisations: a levy is imposed only if regulations made under the Building Services (Complaint Resolution and Administration) Act 2011 s.94 provide for one (s.3). It affects holders of building‑services authorisations, who will be required to pay any levy set by those regulations. The Executive, by making regulations, decides whether a levy applies and sets its terms; the Act itself does not set rates or collection rules.
