56 Notice of imminent lapse of building permit—commencement of work If, immediately before 30 days before the commencement date of building work including any extension to that date granted under regulation 59, the relevant building surveyor has not carried out an inspection of the first mandatory notification stage of the work under section 34 of the Act, the relevant building surveyor must, without delay, give a notice in the form of Form 3 to the applicant for the building permit that applies to the building work of the date on which the building permit will lapse under regulation 55.
