83 Enforcement of Act by council officers
(1) A power conferred by the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 on a council investigation officer (within the meaning of section 9.13 of that Act) that may be exercised for the purpose of enabling a council to exercise its functions under that Act may also be exercised for the purpose of enabling a council to investigate, monitor or enforce compliance with this Act or a building product rectification order.
(2) For that purpose, a reference in Part 9 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 to an offence against that Act includes a reference to an offence against this Act.
