#### 53 Compensation 53 Compensation > > (1) The Secretary must compensate all interested parties for damage caused by an authorised officer in exercising a power to enter premises, or a power to break open or otherwise access a thing for the purposes of examination or inspection, but not any damage caused by the exercise of any other power. > > > (2) Subsection (1) does not apply if the occupier obstructed or hindered the authorised officer in the exercise of the power concerned.
