34 Building product investigations

(1) The Secretary may authorise an investigation for any or all of the following purposes—

(a) to ascertain whether a use of a building product in a building is unsafe,

(b) to ascertain the location of any building in which a building product has been used in a way that is or may be unsafe.

(2) An investigation authorised under this section is a building product investigation.

Note.

Authorised officers may exercise their information gathering powers under Part 7 for the purposes of a building product investigation.
