#### 34 Building product investigations 34 Building product investigations > > (1) The Secretary may authorise an investigation for any or all of the following purposes— > > > > > (a) to ascertain whether a use of a building product in a building is unsafe, > > > > > (b) to ascertain the location of any building in which a building product has been used in a way that is or may be unsafe. > > > (2) An investigation authorised under this section is a building product investigation. > > Note. > > Authorised officers may exercise their information gathering powers under Part 7 for the purposes of a building product investigation.
