Omit the subsection.

Insert instead—

(7) The council or registered certifier must not refuse to issue a complying development certificate if—

(a) the proposed development complies with—

(i) the development standards applicable to the development, and

(ii) other requirements prescribed by the regulations relating to the issue of a complying development certificate, and

(b) for development involving building work—the requirements of the Building (Approvals and Practitioners) Act 2026, section 53 are satisfied.
