69 Savings and transitional—existing exemption
> > (1) An exemption granted to a certifier by the Building Professionals Board in relation to a conflict of interest under section 71(2) of the [Building Professionals Act 2005](/view/html/repealed/current/act-2005-115) that is in force immediately before the repeal of that section is taken to continue in force in respect of the certifier for 12 months after that repeal as if it were granted by the Secretary under section 28(2) of the [Building and Development Certifiers Act 2018](/view/html/inforce/current/act-2018-063).

> > (2) Despite subclause (1), the Secretary may, by notice in writing to a certifier, revoke an exemption that applies to the certifier because of this clause.
