#### 42 Accreditation 42 Accreditation > An accreditation scheme must provide for the following— > > > (a) a process for the accreditation of persons that is fair, impartial, transparent and timely, > > > (b) the period for which accreditation is granted, being at least 1 year and no more than 5 years, > > > (c) the ability for a person to apply for accreditation regardless of whether the person is a member of the accreditation authority.
