#### 62 Application for approval 62 Application for approval > > (1) A body corporate may apply to the Secretary for a grant of approval to exercise the functions of an accreditation authority. > > > (2) An application must— > > > > > (a) be in a form approved by the Secretary, and > > > > > (b) set out the applicant’s proposed accreditation scheme, and > > > > > (c) include or be accompanied by any information or evidence of a kind prescribed by the regulations, and > > > > > (d) include or be accompanied by any other information or evidence that the Secretary reasonably requires to assess the application. > > > (3) The regulations may provide for a fee to be paid for an application for the grant of approval. > > > (4) The Secretary may require the fee to accompany the application. > > > (5) If an application for a grant of renewal of approval is duly made to the Secretary before the expiry of approval, approval is taken to continue in force until the Secretary notifies the applicant of a decision to grant or refuse the application.
