### 217 Application for occupancy permit > An owner, or a person authorised in writing by an owner, of a building – > > > > (a) if an occupancy permit is required as a result of work performed on the building, may apply for an occupancy permit to – > > > > > > > > (i) the building surveyor who granted a certificate of likely compliance for the work; or > > > > > > > > > (ii) another building surveyor engaged under this Act in respect of the work; or > > > > > (b) if an occupancy permit is required for any other reason, may apply to a building surveyor engaged by the owner to inspect the building for the purposes of this Division.
