### 12 Compliance of existing buildings > A building or structure constructed, or building work, plumbing work or demolition work performed – > > > > (a) before the commencement of this Act; and > > > > > (b) in accordance with each relevant Act in force at the time the building or structure was constructed or the work was performed – > > is taken to have been constructed, or performed, in compliance with this Act and the applicable provisions of the National Construction Code.
