### 119 Notification before performing notifiable demolition work > A person must not perform notifiable demolition work unless he or she ensures that – > > > > (a) a notice of work has been given under [section 120](#GS120@EN) to the building surveyor engaged in respect of the work; and > > > > > (b) the building surveyor engaged in respect of the work has issued a certificate of likely compliance (notifiable demolition work) in respect of the work; and > > > > > (c) the work to be performed is the same as, or not materially different from, the work specified in that certificate of likely compliance (notifiable demolition work); and > > > > > (d) the work is to be performed by, or under the supervision of, the responsible person for the work. > > Penalty:  Fine not exceeding 100 penalty units.
