14A Exemption assessment not required for building approval
(1) An exemption assessment is not a requirement of the building
approval process.
(2) A building surveyor may issue an exemption assessment B notice to
the owner of a parcel of land only if the owner has applied to the
building surveyor for an exemption assessment.
(3) A building surveyor must not refuse to issue a building approval on
the ground that the applicant for the approval has not applied for an
exemption assessment B notice.
