65 Occupancy certification to be obtained (1) A person must not occupy a building unless: (a) occupancy certification has been granted for the building; or (b) a declaration under subsection (1A) is in force for the building. (1A) The Minister may, by Gazette notice, declare, in relation to a building or building work: (a) that occupancy certification is not required; or (b) that occupancy certification is not required and a provision of the Regulations applies to the building or building work. (2) A person must not occupy a building in contravention of the occupancy certification granted in relation to the building.
