56 Who may make application An application for a building permit may be made to a building certifier by the owner of the building or the land in or on which the building work is to be carried out or by the owner's agent. 57 Schedule 3 to apply Schedule 3 applies to and in relation to an application for a building permit, and a permit, under this Part. 58 Further information may be requested by building certifier (1) Before a building certifier grants or refuses to grant a building permit, he or she may require the applicant for the permit to provide additional information or documents or to amend the application. (2) If additional information, or a document or an amended application, required under subsection (1) is not supplied within the prescribed time, the building certifier may treat the application as having lapsed.
