43Referrals to Director

43 Referrals to Director (1) A building certifier engaged to perform a function of a building certifier under this Act may, at any time with the consent of the Director, refer the engagement to the Director for the performance by the Director of the function. (2) A referral under subsection (1) may be made without the consent of the owner or occupier of the land or building in or on which the building work is being carried out or of the builder concerned. (3) The building certifier must pay to the Director such fees, costs or expenses in relation to the referral as are agreed with the Director.
