34N Powers to compel evidence (1) The Inquiry Board may require a person giving evidence at an inquiry: (a) to give evidence on oath; or (b) to answer a question. (2) The Inquiry Board may, by notice in writing served on the person, require a person: (a) to attend and give evidence; or (b) to attend before the Board and produce a document in the person's possession or control. (3) The Inquiry Board may keep a document produced to it under this section for as long as the Board considers it necessary to complete the inquiry. (4) A person must not, without reasonable excuse, refuse or fail to comply with a requirement under this section.
