22 Building practitioners to be registered (1) A person who is not appropriately registered under this Part must not: (a) take or use the title of building practitioner or building practitioner of a particular category of building practitioners (either alone or in combination with any other words); or (b) perform a function or exercise a power of, or work as, a building practitioner or building practitioner of a particular category of building practitioner; or (c) in any way imply that he or she is: (i) registered under this Part; or (ii) authorised to perform a function or work for which registration is required under this Part. (2) Subsection (1)(b) does not apply to an owner-builder carrying out building work permitted to be carried out under the owner-builder certificate.
