159 Application of limitation on taking action (1) Section 160 applies to an action for damages for economic loss and rectification costs resulting from defective construction of building work or other work carried out under this Act. (2) The cause of action may be founded on contract or tort (including a cause of action for damages for breach of a statutory duty) or be a cause of action to recover money recoverable by virtue of this Act. (3) Section 160 does not affect a right to recover damages for death or personal injury resulting from defective construction.
