Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This law authorises the Australian Government to spend £115,000 (a very significant sum in 1922) from the national treasury — called the Consolidated Revenue Fund — to pay for Australia's participation in the 1924 British Empire Exhibition in London.

What this means:

The money funds Australia's display at a massive international fair held at Wembley Park, England in 1924
This was a 'world expo' style event where countries across the British Empire showcased their industries, culture, and trade opportunities
The Act is purely about funding — it creates no new rules, regulators, or ongoing programs
It is a one-time appropriation (spending approval) that expires once the exhibition concludes

Who it affects: Australian taxpayers (whose money funded the national pavilion), and Australian businesses who benefited from the trade and migration opportunities generated by the exhibition.
