sec.53CAB Councillors’ conflicts of interest
This section applies in relation to a councillor who holds office as a director. The conflict of interest provisions do not apply in relation to the councillor’s conflict of interest in a matter relating to the authority that arises solely because of the councillor holding office as a director. In this section— conflict of interest provisions means— for a councillor of the Brisbane City Council—the City of Brisbane Act 2010 , chapter 6 , part 2 , division 5A ; or for another councillor—the Local Government Act 2009 , chapter 5B . s 53CAB ins 2025 No. 14 s 61 (sec.53CAB-ssec.1) This section applies in relation to a councillor who holds office as a director. (sec.53CAB-ssec.2) The conflict of interest provisions do not apply in relation to the councillor’s conflict of interest in a matter relating to the authority that arises solely because of the councillor holding office as a director. (sec.53CAB-ssec.3) In this section— conflict of interest provisions means— for a councillor of the Brisbane City Council—the City of Brisbane Act 2010 , chapter 6 , part 2 , division 5A ; or for another councillor—the Local Government Act 2009 , chapter 5B .
- (a) for a councillor of the Brisbane City Council—the City of Brisbane Act 2010 , chapter 6 , part 2 , division 5A ; or
- (b) for another councillor—the Local Government Act 2009 , chapter 5B .
