sec.19 Requirements for particular nominations

This section applies in relation to the nomination of a person for section 17 (1) (b) to (f) . The person must be appropriately qualified. In considering the proposed nomination, the nominating entity must have regard to each of the following— the person’s skills, knowledge and experience in areas relevant to the performance of the board’s functions; the diversity of the skills, knowledge and experience of the board’s directors relevant to the board’s functions; the Queensland Government’s policy about gender equity on boards; the diversity of the board’s directors. In this section— nominating entity means— for a nomination for section 17 (1) (b) —the Minister; or for a nomination for section 17 (1) (c) —the Prime Minister; or for a nomination for section 17 (1) (d) —the Lord Mayor; or for a nomination for section 17 (1) (e) or (f) —the mayor. s 19 sub 2025 No. 14 s 75 (sec.19-ssec.1) This section applies in relation to the nomination of a person for section 17 (1) (b) to (f) .
