59 Recovery of repayments
(1) This section applies if a person is liable to repay an amount (the amount) to the Commonwealth under subsection 30(6) or 31(1). (2) The Commonwealth may recover the amount as a debt due to the Commonwealth. (3) The amount may be deducted from any other amount that is payable to the person under this Act and if the first‑mentioned amount is so deducted, the other amount is, despite the deduction, taken to have been paid in full to the person.
