sec.73 Fee for information given to interested persons— Act , s 205
For section 205 (2) of the Act — the fee for inspection of the body corporate’s records is— if the person inspecting the records is an owner of a lot— if the owner’s request to inspect a document is the owner’s first request to inspect that document—nil; or otherwise—18.25 fee units; or if the person inspecting the records is not an owner of a lot—35.10 fee units; and the fee for obtaining a copy of a record kept by the body corporate is 0.65 fee units for each page supplied. For section 205 (5) of the Act , the fee prescribed is— if the person requesting the body corporate certificate for the lot has requested, and been given, a body corporate certificate for the same lot within the previous 3 months—65.24 fee units; or otherwise—76.75 fee units. A request for a body corporate certificate under section 205 (4) of the Act may include a request for the certificate to be given within 24 hours. A request for a body corporate certificate that includes a request made under subsection (3) must be accompanied by a priority fee of 27.35 fee units. The priority fee payable under subsection (4) — is in addition to the fee payable under subsection (2) ; and must be refunded if the requested body corporate certificate is not given within 24 hours. Subsection (7) applies for working out the amount of a fee under this section. For the purpose of the Acts Interpretation Act 1954 , section 48C (3) , the amount is to be rounded to the nearest multiple of 5 cents (rounding one-half upwards). Subsection (1) (a) (i) (B) prescribes a fee of 18.25 fee units. If the value of a fee unit for this regulation were $1.50, the number of dollars obtained by multiplying $1.50 by 18.25 would be $27.375. Because $27.375 is halfway between $27.35 and $27.40, it is rounded upwards, so the amount of the fee for subsection (1) (a) (i) (B) would be $27.40. s 73 amd 2012 SL No. 102 s 3 sch; 2013 SL No. 122 s 3 sch; 2014 SL No. 128 s 3 sch; 2015 SL No. 53 s 20 ; 2016 SL No. 85 ss 20 , 118 sch 1 ; 2017 SL No. 109 s 21 ; 2018 SL No. 72 s 20 ; 2019 SL No. 105 s 20 ; 2020 SL No. 143 s 20 ; 2021 SL No. 84 s 20 ; 2022 SL No. 79 s 25 ; 2025 SL No. 50 s 24 (sec.73-ssec.1) For section 205 (2) of the Act — the fee for inspection of the body corporate’s records is— if the person inspecting the records is an owner of a lot— if the owner’s request to inspect a document is the owner’s first request to inspect that document—nil; or otherwise—18.25 fee units; or if the person inspecting the records is not an owner of a lot—35.10 fee units; and the fee for obtaining a copy of a record kept by the body corporate is 0.65 fee units for each page supplied.
