*[Section 7 Amended by No. 43 of 1991, s. 5 and Sched. 1 ]*A person who knowingly makes a false or misleading statement in a declaration signed for the purposes of section 4 (1) (a) or 6 (b) is guilty of an offence and is punishable upon conviction by a fine not exceeding 100 penalty units or imprisonment for a term not exceeding 2 years.
