12 Name of child
The registrar-general must assign a name to a child if—
(a) the name stated in the birth registration statement is a prohibited
name; or
(b) the birth registration statement is lodged by both parents of the
child and they satisfy the registrar-general that they are unable
to agree on the child’s name.
