11 How births are registered
(1) The registrar-general must register a birth by making in the register
an entry relating to the birth that includes the name of the child and,
subject to section 14, the prescribed particulars.
(2) However, if not all the prescribed particulars are available to the
registrar-general, the registrar-general may register a birth by
including in the entry the prescribed particulars that are available to
the registrar-general.
