#### 80 Deemed refusal of application 80 Deemed refusal of application > > (1) The period within which the Secretary is required to give an applicant notice of a decision to grant or refuse biosecurity registration or a renewal of biosecurity registration before the application is taken to have been refused is 60 days after the application is made. > > > (2) However, the following periods are not to be counted towards that period of 60 days— > > > > > (a) any period commencing from a day on which the Secretary has, in writing, requested additional information from the applicant until the day on which that information is provided, > > > > > (b) any period commencing from the day on which the applicant is notified in writing of a decision to require an accreditation audit of the application until the day on which the biosecurity auditor engaged to carry out the audit provides the report of the auditor’s assessment to the person who required the audit.
