Division 7—Delegations 39—Delegations statutory authority means— (d) a Deputy Chief Officer; or (e) a statutory corporation. (2) A statutory authority may delegate any of the statutory authority's functions or powers under this Act— (a) to a particular person or body; or (b) to the person for the time being holding or occupying a particular office or position. (3) However, a statutory corporation may only make a delegation under this section with the approval of the Minister (and the approval may be a general or specific approval and may be given on such conditions as the Minister thinks fit). (4) A delegation under this section— (a) must be by instrument in writing; and (b) may be absolute or conditional; and (c) does not derogate from the power of the delegator to act in any matter; and (d) is revocable at will. (5) A function or power delegated under this section may, if the instrument of delegation so provides, be further delegated.
