131 Approvals—decision on application (1) If a person applies for an approval under section 127, or renewal under section 128, the director-general must— (2) The director-general may refuse the application— (a) if the director-general is not satisfied that the applicant— (i) is a suitable person to hold the approval; or (ii) has the qualifications, skills, knowledge and experience required for the approval; or (iii) for an application for approval as a certifier authority or auditor authority—meets the criteria in section 133; or (b) on any grounds prescribed by regulation; or (c) for any other reason the director-general considers appropriate.
