208  Treatment of conveyance  (1) A biosecurity officer may, subject to subsection (2), require the conveyance to be treated in a manner specified by the biosecurity officer. Note: If the treatment might damage the conveyance, the person in charge or the operator of the conveyance must be asked to agree to the treatment (see section 209).  (2) A biosecurity officer must not require a high‑value conveyance to be treated in a manner that the biosecurity officer suspects, on reasonable grounds, is likely to damage the conveyance, without the written approval of the Director of Biosecurity.
