183  Variation of determination suspending bringing or importation of goods into Australian territory  (1) The Director of Biosecurity may vary a determination in force under subsection 182(1) to extend the period of suspension specified in the determination for a further period of up to 6 months.  (2) The Director of Biosecurity may vary a determination under subsection (1) only if the Director is satisfied that the level of biosecurity risk associated with the goods, or the class of goods, specified in the determination continues to be unacceptable.  (3) The Director of Biosecurity may extend the period of suspension specified in a determination in force under subsection 182(1) more than once.  (4) This section does not limit the application of subsection 33(3) of the Acts Interpretation Act 1901 in relation to a determination in force under subsection 182(1).
