#### 53 Remediation orders and directions in relation to previous offences under NPW Act 53 Remediation orders and directions in relation to previous offences under NPW Act > > (1) A remediation order may be made under Division 4 of Part 11 of the new Act in relation to damage in or as a result of the commission of an offence under the [National Parks and Wildlife Act 1974](/view/html/inforce/current/act-1974-080) before the commencement of the new Act. > > > (2) The repeal of section 102 of the [National Parks and Wildlife Act 1974](/view/html/inforce/current/act-1974-080) does not affect the continued operation of a direction in force under that section on that repeal, and that section continues to have effect in relation to such a direction.
