8 Acquisition of prescribed lands
(1) The Treasurer may, for the purposes of this Act, purchase or take all or any of the prescribed lands.
(2) *[Section 8 Subsection (2) substituted by No. 24 of 1993, s. 3 and Sched. 1 ]*In respect of all matters relating to the purchase or taking of any prescribed lands, the Land Acquisition Act 1993 –
(a) has effect subject to the provisions of this Act; and
(b) is to be construed as if "Court" meant a magistrate sitting alone.
