4 Act applies to children
This Act applies to a person whether or not the person is an adult.

5 When may bail be granted?
(1) An accused person may be granted bail in relation to any period when
the person is not required to attend court in relation to the offence
with which the person has been charged.
(2) However, an accused person who is in custody in relation to an
offence must not be granted bail in relation to any period when—
(a) the person is in custody for another offence or reason in relation
to which the person is not entitled to be granted bail; or
(b) the person is serving a sentence of imprisonment.
