52 Contravention of Act by authorised member (1) Where an authorised member contravenes a provision of this Act that is applicable to the member, the contravention is not punishable as an offence (whether under this Act or otherwise) unless a penalty is expressly provided by this Act in respect of the contravention. (2) This section does not prevent a contravention of a provision of this Act by a police officer from: (a) being dealt with under the Police Administration Act 1978; or (b) constituting grounds for civil proceedings.
