Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

What this does: These regulations set up the basic structure for the Automotive Industry Authority, a government body that oversaw Australia's car industry.

Key detail: The rules fix the size of the Authority's board at 3 people total: 2 regular members plus 1 senior member.

Why it matters: This is a machinery provision (a technical setup rule) that makes the main Automotive Industry Authority Act 1984 work by specifying how many people would run the Authority. It ensures the board has a defined, small membership structure.
