Commonwealth legislation
This determination requires anyone intending to carry on a specified commercial pesticide activity in the Australian Capital Territory to notify the local registration authority before they begin (s6). It is made under subsection 42J(4) of the Mutual Recognition Act (s3) and uses the Environment Protection Act definition of the covered activity (s5).
Mechanically, it creates a mandatory pre‑start administrative step for operators (they must notify the ACT Environment Protection Authority) but does not itself impose approvals, fees or operational limits.
