59Application of Organisation’s money

##### 59 Application of Organisation’s money (1) The Organisation’s money (other than money forming part of the Fund) may only be used: (a) in payment or discharge of the expenses, charges, obligations and liabilities incurred or undertaken by the Organisation in relation to the performance of its functions or the exercise of its powers; and (b) in payment to the Commonwealth of amounts equal to the expenses incurred by the Commonwealth in connection with the appointment of members of the Organisation including expenses incurred in connection with the appointment and operations of selection committees under Division 2 of Part 6; and (c) in making payments to the Commonwealth under subsection 57(2); and (d) in payment of remuneration and allowances payable under this Act; and (e) in payment of consultants engaged under this Act; and (f) in making other payments that the Organisation is required or authorised by this Act to make. (2) Subsection (1) does not prevent investment of surplus money of the Organisation under section 19 of the Commonwealth Authorities and Companies Act 1997.
