3People receiving support

#### 3 People receiving support (1) A person is taken for the purposes of this Act to be receiving support from a government or a government agency if the person, for the purpose of taking part in sporting activities, or for the purpose of training to take part in sporting activities: (a) receives funding from the government or agency; or (b) uses facilities that are provided (wholly or partly) by the government or agency, or are operated or maintained (wholly or partly) with funding received from the government or agency; or (c) is a member of, or is in any way associated with, a sporting organisation that: (i) receives funding from the government or agency; or (ii) uses facilities that are provided (wholly or partly) by the government or agency, or are operated or maintained (wholly or partly) with funding received from the government or agency; or (iii) receives advice or other services from the government or agency. (2) In this section: > government means the Commonwealth, a State or a Territory. > government agency means the Commission or any sports academy, sports institute, or other similar body, of a State or Territory.
