57Involvement of person entitled to appear at hearing

#### 57 Involvement of person entitled to appear at hearing (1) This section applies where a national scheme law of this jurisdiction requires the Commission to give a person an opportunity to appear at a hearing and to make submissions and give evidence to it. (2) The Commission shall appoint a place and time for the hearing and cause written notice of that place and time to be given to the person. (3) If the person does not wish to appear at the hearing, the person may, before the day of the hearing, lodge with the Commission any written submissions that the person wishes the Commission to take into account in relation to the matter concerned.
