56Reimbursement of cost of complying with directions

#### 56 Reimbursement of cost of complying with directions (1) Where Australia Post satisfies the Minister that it has suffered financial detriment as a result of complying with a direction given by the Minister under section 49, Australia Post is entitled to be reimbursed by the Commonwealth the amount that the Minister determines, after consultation with the Board, to be the amount of the financial detriment. (2) In making such a determination, the Minister shall have regard to any advice that the Board has given to the Minister as to the amount of the financial detriment. (3) The reference in subsection (1) to suffering financial detriment includes a reference to: (a) incurring costs that are greater than would otherwise have been incurred; or (b) forgoing revenue that would otherwise have been received. (4) A determination under subsection (1) shall be made in writing.
