Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

These rules set basic behavioral standards for students at the Australian Maritime College (AMC). They replace the 1982 rules and establish a simple code of conduct covering two main areas:

1. Respectful behavior Students must not act in ways that disturb others' comfort or interfere with the running of the college and its classes.

2. Property protection Students must not damage or deface AMC property, or property at other locations visited during classes.

Who is covered? The rules apply to anyone enrolled in AMC courses, including short courses, and cover all study-related activities whether on campus or elsewhere.

What happens if rules are broken? The rules don't specify penalties themselves. Instead, breaches trigger action under separate Disciplinary Rules.
