Plain English Summary

1/10 complexity

This regulation cancels old pay rules for the Australian Institute of Multicultural Affairs.

Before this change, regulations from 1980 set out the salaries, allowances, and expense reimbursements for the Institute's board members and staff. This 1981 regulation repeals (completely removes) those 1980 rules.

Why this matters:

It stops the old remuneration regulations from having legal effect
It affects anyone appointed to the Australian Institute of Multicultural Affairs (a body set up to promote multicultural policies)
It is a housekeeping measure—tidying up the law books by deleting outdated administrative rules about pay

The regulation does not introduce new pay rules; it simply ends the old ones.
