3Definitions

#### 3 Definitions (1) In this Act, unless the contrary intention appears: > associate member means a person holding an appointment under subsection 7(4). > Chair means the Chair of the Council. > Council means the Australian Heritage Council established under section 4. > meet the registration criterion has the meaning given by subsection 22(2). > member includes the Chair and an associate member. (2) Except where the contrary intention appears, other expressions used in this Act have the same meaning as in the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999.
